Rumors are circulating that Real Madrid have agreed a deal to sell David Villa to West Ham at the end of the season.
It is understood his recent form has attracted the attention of West Ham manager William Cook.
West Ham United manager William Cook: "David is a player I have much admiration for. I think he would fit in well with our style of play, so hopefully a bit of business can be done and we will see him in Claret and Blue next season."
It is understood Carlton Cole could be going the other way.

Response from Real
"I would like to just say that these rumours are false. David Villa has no interest in moving to East London as he has his family and new born in Spain. He has advised though that he would love to play in the premiership one day, most likely with Liverpool due to the Spanish connections and his fellow Striker Torres. But at the moment he is commited to Real Madrid and has extended his contract to 2012 with a buy out clause of €170 mill"
"At this point, we would like to thank Villa for this contribution, and to keep up with his brilliant effort this season. We would like to also say that Buffon is for sale, loan or player swap"
